About Us
Care Nursing has been established since 1987 and is run by a fully qualified management team who ensure you receive the best possible standards of care. We have been awarded the investors in people award since 2002 for our commitment to training our staff and are also an ISO 9001 quality assessed company. Care Nursing is a Member of the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA) and abides by their professional code of conduct at all times.
All of our staff undergo a thorough vetting and induction which includes:
Real Time Monitoring
As part of our commitment to the safety of our clients and staff we have recently introduced a real time monitoring system that automatically logs all our carers arrival and departure times and instantly alerts us if a carer does not show at a specified time. This allows us to offer a guaranteed 100% visit rate which should put your mind at rest that your carer will call when arranged. If a carer is late for any reason then we endeavour to have a replacement with you within half an hour of being alerted to the situation. We are also able to provide, on request, a detailed breakdown of the times that carers are staying with you to ensure that you are receiving best value in your choice of care provider.
We value and respect our staff
Not all care providers have their own committed training department. From the initial success of a new applicant, our staff are fully vetted through the Criminal Records Bureau and are supported through an in-depth induction period where they are trained and equipped with the skills to deliver care at a very high standard. Their care practice is monitored by line management support and all our staff have either attained or are working towards an NVQ qualification. Their training is ongoing and regularly refreshed to reflect the ever-increasing skills that are required to deliver quality care that complies with legislation.
Sue Ratcliffe has dedicated all her working life to caring for people as a qualified SRN and Midwife, and the last twenty years to delivering quality care in the community as the founder and chairperson of Care Nursing. Today, the company follows the same ethos and dedication, remaining very much a family run business.
